Client Case Study: Rebuilding Eastcountry Electric in 48 Hours

Most contractor marketing engagements take 30 to 60 days to get anything live. Landing pages sit in design review. Ads get paused mid-build. CRMs get “integrated next sprint.” By the time a single click hits the site, two months of runway are gone.

We launched Eastcountry Electric in 48 hours. This is the case study.

The client

Eastcountry Electric Inc. — Dustin Krzywy, Master Electrician, Ponoka, Alberta. 31 years in the trade. Specializes in agricultural electrical, grain dryer wiring, farm service upgrades, and 24/7 emergency work across central Alberta and into Saskatchewan.

Dustin runs ~$100K/month through his business. Before we got involved: no Google Ads, no CRM beyond a phone and a notepad, a WordPress site that had been through three agencies and still had another electrician’s phone number pasted in the schema. The kind of digital situation most contractors quietly live with.

He came to Apex ACQ as a Revenue Rocket client. Engagement closed on April 10. First campaigns went live April 22. That’s the window we’re unpacking below.

The 48-hour goal

Revenue Rocket promises a 60-day delivery window, but we wanted Dustin live fast because harvest-adjacent electrical work in Alberta is seasonal. Miss the window and he loses quotes he can’t get back.

Our scope for the first 48 hours:

  • Full Google Ads account build + 2 campaigns, paused for review
  • 3 conversion actions tracking phone calls, form fills, and contact-page visits
  • Call, sitelink, and callout ad extensions
  • GoHighLevel CRM with speed-to-lead, quote follow-up, and nurture workflows
  • Contact form wired to GHL with SMS compliance (A2P 10DLC single opt-in)
  • Full technical SEO audit + 14 deploy-ready fixes
  • Fresh FAQPage schema on six service pages
  • Person schema for Dustin on the About page
  • A new 300-word bio replacing the empty “Owner’s Story” placeholder
  • Sticky mobile call bar on ad landing pages
  • Meet Dustin trust block on the two primary ad landing pages
  • Security headers, WebP image conversion, duplicate gtag removal
  • 1,032 existing leads imported into GHL

That’s 15 discrete deliverables across four systems (Google Ads, GHL, WordPress, and Cloudflare). Traditional agencies sequence this across six weeks. We ran it in parallel via API.

What “built in 48 hours” actually means

Three things made the timeline possible. All three are systematized in the Apex delivery stack.

1. Google Ads API v23 automation

We don’t touch the Google Ads UI. Every campaign at Apex is built via the official Google Ads Python SDK. Customer ID, developer token, OAuth — all in a YAML config. Campaign creation is a Python script.

For Dustin: two campaigns (Agricultural Electrical + Emergency Electrical), two ad groups, 15 responsive search ad headlines per group, 4 descriptions, 44 negative keywords, Alberta + Saskatchewan geo targeting, a 7 AM to 7 PM Mon-Sat schedule on Ag, 24/7 on Emergency, budget split $20/$10 per day. Manual CPC bidding until conversion volume justifies a smart strategy.

Script ran in under 3 minutes. Both campaigns landed paused for Dustin’s review, not live.

2. GoHighLevel sub-account with pre-built workflow templates

Every Apex client gets a GHL sub-account under our agency umbrella. The sub-account arrives pre-loaded with eight workflow templates (speed-to-lead SMS, quote follow-up sequence, nurture drip, no-show recovery, review request, stale-lead reactivation, and two booking-confirmation flows). We don’t build these per client — we clone them.

For Dustin: sub-account provisioned, contact form on /contact-us/ routed via webhook to GHL with cold-email-lead and trade-specific tags, phone field added, SMS consent checkbox for A2P compliance, speed-to-lead firing within 60 seconds of a form submission.

3. WordPress + Rank Math + Code Snippets for SEO/CRO fixes at scale

Dustin’s site is WordPress. Rather than opening the Elementor editor one widget at a time, we ship SEO and conversion fixes as PHP snippets via the WordPress REST API.

One “mega-fix” bundle deployed in a single API call covered:

  • Security headers (HSTS, X-Frame-Options, Referrer-Policy, Permissions-Policy)
  • noindex on internal launch status pages
  • Preconnect and preload hints for LCP
  • Hero PNG → WebP conversion (the biggest hero dropped from 3.4 MB to 72 KB, a 97.9% reduction)
  • Person schema on /about/
  • Expanded Electrician + Organization schema on the homepage with sameAs, priceRange, hasOfferCatalog, and areaServed for all five service cities
  • FAQPage schema with 5-7 questions per page across six service pages
  • Sticky mobile call-bar CSS injected only on ad landing pages
  • Chat widget auto-open killed on mobile ad LPs
  • Duplicate gtag.js dequeued
  • info@website.com placeholder scrubbed
  • Sign Up CTA text swapped to Request a Quote
  • AI crawler allow-list (GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, Google-Extended) written to the physical robots.txt

Before this snippet: Lighthouse mobile perf on /emergency-electrical/ was 35/100 with a 16.9-second LCP. After: 92/100 with a 3.0-second LCP. Same page, same content — just the infrastructure rebuilt underneath.

Measurable deltas (48 hours in)

The ads launched April 22. Real lead data needs 30 to 60 days to mean anything. But the infrastructure deltas are measurable today.

Expected Google Ads impact based on Quality Score fundamentals: Quality Score 3-4 → 7-9, which typically translates to 30-50% lower CPCs at the same ad rank. For a $30/day account in a competitive space, that’s the difference between 15 and 25 clicks per day at the same spend.

Why this matters for contractors

If you run a contracting business doing $10K-$100K/month, three things in this case study are worth stealing:

1. Slow agency = lost seasonal revenue

Every week spent in “design review” is a week of harvest electrical jobs, roof repairs, or HVAC installs that went to the competitor who answered the phone. If your marketing agency takes 60 days to get ads live, they’re costing you the first two months of returns. Ask them to commit to 14 days.

2. Quality Score is a math problem, not a mystery

LCP, mobile responsiveness, page weight, conversion tracking, and click-through rate are all measurable. If your landing page loads in 17 seconds, Google charges you 50% more per click than your competitor whose page loads in 3 seconds — for the exact same ad copy. Fixing technical SEO isn’t vanity. It’s a direct input into your CPC.

3. CRM speed-to-lead beats ad spend

Dustin’s GHL sub-account fires a text message to a new lead within 60 seconds of their form submission. A 2011 MIT study found that contacting a lead within 5 minutes makes you 21x more likely to qualify them vs. 30 minutes. Most contractors call back the next day. Speed-to-lead is the single biggest close-rate lever, and it doesn’t cost you another dollar in ad spend.

Frequently asked questions

How much does Apex ACQ’s Revenue Rocket package cost?

Revenue Rocket is $6,500 setup (covers months 1 and 2) then $2,000/month for ongoing management. Includes Meta + Google Ads, GHL CRM + automations, optional landing page or site build, and ongoing ad creative.

What’s the difference between Accelerator and Revenue Rocket?

Accelerator is for contractors under $30K/month — simple Facebook lead form ads, basic GHL setup, 30-day delivery. Revenue Rocket is for $25K-$100K/month businesses — full-service Meta + Google Ads, ongoing ad creation, optional landing page build, 60-day delivery.

Do you work with any trade?

We work with home service contractors across roofing, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, pressure washing, carpentry, general contractors, siding, painting, and landscaping. USA and Canada. Sweet spot is $10K-$100K/month.

What if your system doesn’t work?

Our Revenue Rocket “Full Pipeline Guarantee” is 20+ leads in 30 days or your first month of management is free. Just follow the system.

Can you launch that fast for every client?

The 48-hour build in this case study works when a client hands us clean inputs (Google Ads account or card, FB page access, domain/DNS control) on day 1. When inputs take a week to arrive, we’re not going to hit 48 hours. Dustin had everything ready.
